作践五谷遭天遣
传说，霍尔圣地香粮一株九穗，衣食无忧。一日，婴儿解便，农妇顺势用手中面团揩拭而触怒上天。上天大力士捋除粮穗来惩罚人类，后因家犬哭求而仅留一穗为犬食。由此，霍尔人感恩家犬而视其为家人。

ངག་རྒྱུན་དུ། ཧོར་ཁམས་ནོར་བུའི་གླིང་ན་ནས་སྡོང་གཅིག་ལ་སྙེ་མ་དགུ་ཡོད་པར་གྲགས།ཉིན་ཤིག་ལ།ཞིང་པའི་བུད་མེད་ཅིག་གིས་ལག་ཏུ་ཐོགས་པའི་རྩམ་རིལ་གྱིས་བྱིས་པའི་མི་གཙང་བ་ཕྱིས་པ་དེ་གོང་མ་ལྷས་གཟིགས་ཏེ་སྙེ་མ་ཡར་བསྡུ་བྱེད་དུས་ཁྱི་རྒན་གྱིས་ངུ་ཟུག་བཏང་པར་སྙིང་རྗེ་གནང་དེ་ཁོང་ལ་སྙེ་རྡོག་གཅིག་བསྐལ་བར་བཞག་པས་ཧོར་མིས་སྒོ་ཁྱིར་དེ་འདྲ་བརྩེ་བ་ཟབ་པ་དེ་ལས་བྱུང་།
The Punishment for Desecrating the Five Grains
It is said that in Hall Holy Land, there were nine spikes of fragrant grains in a single plant, ensuring plenty of food and clothing. One day,when a baby soiled itself, a farmer’s wife wiped it clean with dough in hand, angering the heavens. The mighty celestial being removed all but one ear of grain as punishment, leaving the last for the dogs. Since then,the Hall people have been grateful to dogs and consider them part of the family.
