2月9日，炉霍群众翘首仰望着银灰色的飞机将一批批急需救灾物资准确空投到目的地。最初空投采取直接裸投，但由于受气流影响，空投物四散飘移，以致两名解放军战士不幸牺牲。随后将裸投改为伞投。
