炉霍素有“崩科之乡”的美誉。炉霍民宅属于集崩科、榫卯相结合，兼容歇山顶结构为一体的别致性建筑。其建筑冬暖夏凉，防震性极高。随着经济社会发展，崩科已经成为鲜水河流域民宅的主要建筑形式。

Luhuo has long been known as the "Bengke Town". The local residences in Luhuo combine Bengke and mortise-tenon construction techniques with the distinctive Xie mountain top structure, creating a unique type of architecture.
